There is nothing more enjoyable in this line of work, than knowing a client is happy with their new hire, and then years later, to receive a call from that candidate who is pleased to report he has since been promoted, that he loves his new job and company, and that his family is continuing to enjoy living in their new town/area. Calls like that obviously don’t come in every week, but they are one of the things that make us wake up in the morning with enough focus and drive to help make it happen again! Bill Sitter

billbioBill completed his US Army service as an Infantry Captain before beginning his impressive 40 year career in the Equipment Industry. Trained at Caterpillar headquarters (in Peoria), Bill was transferred to Switzerland and the Middle East as a CAT Sales & Marketing Representative. He was recruited to International Harvester/Dresser for a management role in the Midwest. He later accepted a Branch Management position at a well-respected multi-location dealership in Iowa – where he progressed to the role of President of the Company. In the late 1980’s, Bill moved to Texas, where he held general management positions in the Equipment Industry, before purchasing an industry-focused executive search firm. As Owner of that retained firm, Bill had the privilege of serving a great number of manufacturers, dealers and rental firms, placing hundreds of key senior and middle managers across the USA, and also some in both Canada and Latin America. Bill was a long-time member of AEM, ARA, and MHEDA and a recipient of the AED Distinguished Service Award - for decades of faithful service to equipment distribution. Accomplishments included serving as a local AED Chapter President, 15 years authoring HR related articles, and presenting seminars at locations in both the US & Mexico. Bill and Chris had the opportunity to work side-by-side for 13 years, traveling to industry trade shows and meetings and developing relationships with a multitude of key players in the world of heavy equipment.

While Bill’s past career accomplishments are impressive, we are pleased to announce that he is not finished making his mark on this industry. As Senior Advisor at Bat Cave Executive Search, his wealth of relevant experience and sage advice helps the company with strategic direction for our executive search efforts.
